Who was Pat Baker?

Pat was one of the longest-serving consultants with IQ Group, witnessing the transformation of the organisation from its technical origins to the innovative consultancy it is today.

With a strong technical background, Pat led engagements across the globe, including the US and South Africa, earning a reputation as a highly knowledgeable and respected figure in the superannuation industry.

Throughout his career, Pat exemplified commitment and generosity, uplifting those around him through knowledge and support. His mentorship was key to IQ Group’s success, as he continuously enhanced his colleagues’ capabilities.

Diagnosed with cancer in 2016, Pat faced his illness with courage, inspiring many until his passing. His strength and positivity deeply resonated, earning him the affection of colleagues and friends alike.
The Pat Baker Foundation was established to keep Pat’s spirit alive within IQ Group and to allow all IQ-ers to honour his legacy by extending his humanity to others.

Our Charity Partners

Since the foundation’s establishment, IQ has raised nearly $40,000 which has been donated to our two charity partners, The Smith Family and Hopes & Dreams.

The Smith Family

The Smith Family is committed to helping disadvantaged Australian children reach their full potential through education.

By providing essential resources and support, The Smith Family aims to create brighter futures for these children, helping them succeed academically and beyond.

Hopes and Dreams

Hopes and Dreams™ is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty and providing direct relief to families in need in Africa.

By empowering women to start their own small businesses, Hopes and Dreams enables them to generate income that can improve their families’ circumstances. The foundation also supports water development projects, ensuring communities have access to clean and safe drinking water.
