What were you doing before joining IQ? 

I was completing my bachelor’s degree while working at a local fish and chip shop and managing my own social media business.  

What qualifications do you have? 

Bachelor of Commerce majoring in management information systems.  

Have you used your qualifications/experience during you time at IQ? 

I have been able to leverage my soft skills, specifically communication and problem solving while working with my first client to ensure that I am providing as much value to the client where I can. Further, I have been able to leverage my knowledge of data, projects and business to remain agile in complex and uncertain environments where things are constantly changing.  

Why did you apply for the Graduate Program at IQ? 

I applied for the Graduate Program at IQ as the idea of being able to take on different roles from client to client aligned with my desire to experience a variety of opportunities to grow not only my hard skills but also my soft skills.   

What work did you do as a graduate? 

After completing the initial graduate training program, I was placed on client site as a business analyst and assisted my team in carrying out the client’s operational activities and worked with stakeholders to identify potential areas of uplift.   

What has been the highlight of your career with IQ so far? 

The highlight of my careers so far has been meeting so many different people not only at IQ Group but on client who have been able to provide valuable insight and experience which I believe has allowed me to challenge my thoughts and as a result allowed me to continually grow.

What were you doing before joining IQ? 

Before joining IQ, I worked as a medical receptionist at an educational and developmental psychology clinic, where I broadened my skills and connected with a diverse group of people.  

What qualifications do you have?   

I have a bachelor’s degree in commerce where I majored in Management Information Systems and minored in both Wealth Management and Event Management. 

Have you used your qualifications/experience during your time at IQ? 

Yes, I have applied my academic knowledge in projects at IQ Group, particularly in my understanding and application of project management principles. I have also utilised my knowledge of business analysis and applying data-driven insights to maintain agility in dynamic and unpredictable environments.  

Why did you apply for the graduate program at IQ? 

I applied for the graduate program at IQ Group to leverage my technical background in a dynamic environment where I could contribute, grow, collaborate with diverse teams, and acquire new skills across different areas of expertise. 

What work did you do as a graduate? 

As a graduate, I worked on a client administration transition program, providing project coordination support directly to the Program Director overseeing multiple workstreams. I facilitated stakeholder collaboration by coordinating tasks and communication across various teams, utilising project management software and tools to streamline processes and ensure efficient execution. 

What has been the highlight of your career with IQ so far? 

The highlight of my career at IQ Group has been my contribution to an administration transition program that taught me about key operational processes within the superannuation industry and allowed me to collaborate across various teams. This experience, along with the opportunity for mentorship and an uplifting environment, has helped me grow in my career and develop a strong commitment to contributing positively to the organisation.

What were you doing before IQ? 

I was working as a Technical Risk Consultant whilst finishing up my studies. 

What qualification do you have? 

Double degree in Commerce and Information Systems majoring in Finance. 

Have you used your qualifications/experience during your time at IQ? 

I’ve discovered that my experience working across teams in a cross-functional environment has helped me navigate the complexities of my first client. I’ve been able to leverage content learnt through university to assist me in being a problem-solver on client site, thinking of innovative ways to tackle tasks and responsibilities. 

Why did you apply to the Graduate Program at IQ? 

The ability to try many different roles and responsibilities across a range of projects is what really enticed me to apply for the IQ Graduate Program. Being able to have client work given within months of commencing, as well as having an IQ mentor assisting along the way was an opportunity I couldn’t miss. Superannuation was also an industry that seemed both familiar and unfamiliar to me at the same time, and further drove my interest in this program.  

What work did you do as a graduate? 

Having gone through the initial graduate training period, I began work as a Junior Business Analyst on client site assisting in various project streams to achieve the client objective in delivering improved member experience. I had the opportunity to liaise with many different stakeholders within the business, broadening my network.  

What has been the highlight of your career with IQ so far? 

A highlight so far has been the warm welcoming received from all IQ Group consultants. It’s awesome feel comfortable in seeking mentorship and placing trust in the staff at IQ, whom are all experienced individuals within the superannuation industry. The Grad Program has also equipped with knowledge in a range of disciplines, through the extensive offering of learning tools and sessions.

What were you doing before joining IQ? 

I was working in the Home and Contents Insurance Industry as a Project Coordinator while completing my university studies.  

What qualifications do you have? 

Bachelor of Business majoring in Economics and Marketing.  

Have you used your qualifications/experience during you time at IQ? 

My previous experience developed my ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders while working within compressed timeframes, which has been useful while working with my first client. My organisation and time-management skills have been transferable and has allowed me to operate in a dynamic environment.  

Why did you apply for the Graduate Program at IQ? 

During the application process, I was unsure of my career direction. IQ’s Graduate Program offered a wide range of roles across major firms within the Finance industry which gave me the flexibility to find my passion. It was also very clear that IQ Group was committed to its graduates and ready to facilitate their professional career growth.  

What work did you do as a graduate? 

After completing IQ’s initial graduate training program, I was assigned to my first client as a Business Analyst. I supported the delivery of a major transition through capturing client requirements, developing key products and testing deliverables during my time in this role. I later moved into a Project Coordinator role and assisted the Program Director and Project Managers in organising stakeholder collaboration and developing reporting artifacts.  

What has been the highlight of your career with IQ so far? 

The highlight of my career so far has been creating new relationships with so many experienced and helpful colleagues. I have found that everyone at IQ Group is eager to see me succeed and have supported me where possible. The encouragement and feedback that I have received has developed my professional skills and has provided me an abundance of knowledge that I will value through the rest of my career.
